Virtual Development Groups

In this weekly 45-minute session, participants will work on developing their fine motor skills through a variety of age and developmentally-appropriate activities. Sessions will include a brief gross motor warmup, as well as a cool-down activity for relaxation and regulation. Children will also engage in 1-2 instructor-led fine motor tasks depending on the activity and skills being addressed that week.

Parents and caregivers will be provided with a supply list upon registration for each session. When possible, the instructor will try to utilize supplies that are common household items or those which can be found at your local store. There will be an option to purchase a supply kit for each session for an additional fee. If choosing to purchase a supply kit, you must be registered no later than one week PRIOR to the session in order to receive your items in time. If you are local and can make arrangements to pick up your kit, please contact LeeAnn prior to registering to make arrangements and receive a code to avoid shipping fees.

Since these are virtual sessions, a parent or caregiver (or older sibling if appropriate) should be available to assist the child as needed throughout the activities. While LeeAnn keeps the activities fun and engaging, children do still need redirection at times or assistance with direction following. LeeAnn will also offer suggestions and tips while children are working on their activities to help facilitate skill development. Some of these suggestions may require adult assistance to initially complete correctly.

To receive the maximum benefit from sessions, all participants are strongly encouraged to keep their cameras on for the duration of the session. Individual feedback and tips cannot be provided if the instructor cannot see you! In order to be able to provide this attention to participants, group size will be limited to 10 participants on a first-registered first served basis.
